I bought the Sony DRU-810A just over a month ago. It worked fine for about a week and then one day trying to burn a disc in ADOBE ENCORE it came up with a hardware error! So I boxed up the drive and swapped it out at Fry's Electronics where I bought it. Everything was working fine until the hardware error started happening again. What the heck is going on??
This seems to only be happening with DVD-R and +Rs. CD seem to burn ok. Sony Support was no help and their drive check error when it came to writting the disc. I have tried to burn with NERO that came with the drive and the same thing happens.
Is this a faulty shipment of drives or do I need to clean out a cache(?).
I attached an error message that popped up in Encore.
