Questitons have no logical order...goal is to get video streaming from my website....here is what I do that works...can you help me improve time or quality?

MPEG Streamclip gets my DVD content
I use FCP for my DV Camera
I use the cheap Canopus for TV
I dont understand Codecs other than they compress
I use toast to burn DVD's (or DVD Studio Pro)
I dont know how to make anythng other than DVD's
And I can make mov and wmv.....just not very well and very slowly...

Whatever the app, when its time to export, I get lost.....
I can talk the talk but can't walk the walk....

If you could be kind enough to refer to the attached jpeg, and tell me what (besides size and kbps) I should be concerned with (bit rate, interlaced, which codec, field dominence, and particularly streaming settings, what the heck is a hint anyway?)

I'm an amateur and no Alfred Einstein...and if you are kind enough to tell me what matters I will search the forum....I am being forced to put QT and wmv files or half my friends start yelling at me.

Thanks,

MSF

Oh yeah, what format or file should I strive for if I want to put a Soprano's (from TIVO) on a laptop for personal use, what is a reasonable quality vs space formula and is it divx? (hip shot).....thanks again
