I have accumulated a bunch of odds and ends(data) and would like to put them on a dvd for safekeeping. I understand that this can be done using ImgBurn. If so how does one set up ImgBurn to do this. thanks

Set the mode to Build, then select either the files or, if you have them all in one folder, the folder. make sure the output is set to Device, and not Image, and burn away

    To guns1inger:

Thanks for the tip. It worked like a charm.

  4. guns1inger: I added my files during the Build Mode and then let it create an ISO image and then I burned the ISO when I switched to Write Mode. It seems to have turned out.

Both are valid. The method I posted saves the time and disc space required for an ISO, if an ISO isn't needed. If you need to burn multiple copies to keep an archive, creating an ISO may be the better way to go.
