This is another routine that I thought was straight away, and it doesn't seem to be the case.

Problem is I had an issue with my desktop PC, and I'm using our laptop until a new motherboard arrives.

One of the things I often do, almost everyday, is burn mkv files in DVDs, SL or DL, using ImGBurn.

What I did was open the program and load the file on the left side, then it showed how large the file was in %, on the bar on the left. The I filled the file name and burnt the disc.

But now it doesn't fill the left bar, so I wonder what I am missing. How should I proceed to setup this now?

i don't know about a bar on the left but you have to put a check mark in the "auto" box if you don't want to click the calculate button every time.

    Sorry. Bar on the right.

    Thanks.

What about Options > Image options? Data type, File System and UDF Revision: which should go with what?

Depends on the target playback device and file size can play a role in the decision as well. In most cases Imgburn will make suggestions if something is set wrong.

In most cases setting Data Type to Mode1 and File System to ISO 9660 + Joliet will give you what you need. If the settings are incorrect ImgBurn is really good about suggesting which settings to use.
