    Hi folks

I'm a newbie here, also not too computer literate.

I've downloaded some large avi files, and am now wanting to convert them either into mpeg(to watch on my pc) or to play in my dvd player.

The converters I've found on Google only allow small files, and my friend gave me dvdshrink 3.2, which doesn't seem to do the job either. I also downloaded WinAvi which doesn't allow my avi file to convert.

Can anyone help advise me what I should be doing, in layman's terms please?

    Thanks.

    Welcome to VideoHelp!
Been done over and over. Take a look to the left, under CONVERT. Select AVI to DVD, and you'll find no less than 46 guides to read.
I've done the search for you:
    https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?searchtext=&tools=&madeby=&formatconversionselect=...or+List+Guides
Hints: Avoid WinAVI. For simple oneclick solution, try convertx2dvd or divx2dvd (the freeware version of convertx)
