  1. When I burn photos and digital art I've created to a DVD, I've been including QPAR files on the disc in advent of data corruption or media read errors...

I've been toying with the idea of putting QPAR files on my video DVDs, however when burning a video DVD with Nero Express 6, it doesn't like including none video files....

Any idea on how to accomplish this....??? I would like to put these QPAR files in the VIDEO_TS folder...

    Thanks

If you want to put non-DVD files on a DVD Video, create a new folder at the root level (the same level as the Video_TS folder) and put the files in there. Do not put non-DVD related files in the video_TS folder or the disc may not play.

  3. Thanks for the reply... I tried as you suggested but Nero Express ver 6 would not allow me to include any non video files when burning a video DVD....

Use standard NERO. I know that Express is included in the regular Nero install, but I don't know if that is all you have.

How are you naming your directories? They should only be eight characters in length. I routinely put on my DVD (if I have room) a directory called COVERART where I put all sorts of stuff used to make the DVD, and I use NERO 6.

I use ImgBurn to do this, select a VIDEO_TS folder, and if I require, I add a FILES folder to stash other files.

The trick is to set the file system option to "ISO9660 + UDF".
I believe data discs are normally just ISO9660, and DVD video must be UDF. So this gives you a disc readable in either mode. There is probably a way to do this in Nero as a kind of data disc.
