    Hi everyone!

I've just Saw an Anime DVD that appears to be official, it has dual audio, and triple subs.
My attention come to the screen when I saw that the DVD subtitles where Overlapping (different captions from different colors), and even where moving on the screen (not so advanced as ASS would do).

What I really want to use is the overlapping and the coloring (Yellow and white as main colors) for when there are two people talking

    Any help would be appreciated

Well, you can prepare your subs in Sub Station Alpha or some similar program, save them as .ssa, and then use MaestroSBT to convert them to .son format. But I think the only authoring program that will properly recognize the various subtitle colors is DVDMaestro. Does anybody know of any other DVD authoring program that will honor the colors in a .son file's associated .spf file?

You can do the color stuff with SubtitleCreator or DVDSubedit. However this is not very easy to do. For the overlapping, I think you need some professional authoring software.

First create a SUP file using SubtitleCreator.
Then with SubtitleCreator or DVDSubedit, you can change the color of your subs to use any of the 16 colors of the IFO palette. There is a also limitation of 4 different colors by Subpic. This will be a long process because you have to do this by hand but it is feasible.

    Hope this helps
