I downloaded a video from dailymotion.com as a .flv file. I want to burn this file to dvd so i converted to .vob format (mpeg II and AC3). I used "SUPER" to convert it to .vob file. However, I believe I need video info logs etc. in order to put it on DVD right. Also, I am using NTI burning software to burn it on a dvd. Is there a way i can get those video info logs or whatever or do i just need the mpeg file (.vob)?

VOB files are usually only found on a DVD.
The proper source format for creating a Video DVD is mpg. These are then authored as DVD, and put into a VOB "wrapper" as part of the authoring process.
However, some authoring apps accept VOBs as input - most notably TMPGEnc DVD Author.

TDA doesn't accept VOBs in file source mode (just MPEGs) and it will ask for VIDEO_TS.IFO in DVD source mode if there's no such a file in DVD folder. However you can try to simply change extention to .mpg to import your file in file source mode.
DVDLabPro (it is not as simple for beginners) can import a VOB but it will first demux it to audio/video streams.

If that's the case - better yet to run the VOB thru vob2mpg.

Yes it will accept VOB's on their own as a file input. Change to "all files (*.*)" when doing a file search. They will load just fine for me, with or without the rest of the DVD files.

So I can just download TMPGEnc DVD Author, put the file in the program and it will burn it and I will be able to play it on a dvd player (my xbox 360 is the only progressive scan dvd player i have, so would it play on that?)

If all goes well: Yes! (But I suggest you put "read the manual and some guides" in between "download TMPGEnc DVD Author" and "put the file in the program")
