I am having two seperate problems, randomly.

The first, is when I use VOB2MPG to combine the seperate VOBs ripped from a DVD, it places the sections in the wrong order. Basically, if there were four sections, it would play section 3, then 1 then 4 then 2 (or some other random combination).

The second, is after VOB2MPG combines the VOB set, Media Player plays the first five minutes of a movie very quickly (in about 2 seconds).

In both situations, the VOB set is fine before hand, and can be played normally in Media Player; however, after creating a single MPG they show either of the problems above; although, not at the same time and not all of the time. Both are random, too. Only about 1 in 5 has a problem.

    Any suggestions?

  4. Though it shouldn't make a difference, I see you are using an external drive, have you tried running the process with the source VOB's moved to "C"?

There is a space error for the "E" drive too:

00:31:02: Not enough storage is available to process this command.
I see where the VOB's are being processed out of sequence, ChrissyBoy will need to address that as I'm not familiar with how V2M processes those.

I wonder if it might be a copy protection issue? What program did you use to rip the disc?

  5. Just throwing this out there....Might be a problem with the drives being FAT32 reather than NTSC. I think FAT 32 has a file size limit that maybe affecting your outcome.

Yeah, that's why I suggested moving the source files to "C" which is NTFS. The output folder was set for "C" so the file size shouldn't have been affected there, but I don't know how much 'work' still gets done on the source drive.

Moving it to the C: did resolve the problem; although, the only difference in the log file was the way it listed the input folder:

Because it listed them in the correct order, it converted them in the correct order. I will let you know if it happens again, while on the main HDD.
