    can anyone tell me how to take snapshots from movies as i have bought my kids a cartoon one and they want some pictures of the movie

    If you can play the video in Windows Media Player, just use Ctrl+I. You'll be asked to specify a location to save a still image and whether it should be BMP or JPG.

    You can use CyberLink Power DVD. It has full size snapshots from a clips
    I use it make background for dvd menus.
