Can anyone help, I have just brought some VCD's back form Thailand and they play fine on my dvd player, but I am having problems with any VCD's I create with Nero v5 in that my DVD player will not play them. They work fine on my PC with media player ect. but wont play on my normal DVD player. PLEASE help as it is driving me mad as to why this is. (there is a copy of Harry Potter to whoever can help me burn a VCD that works on my DVD player)

Its possible that your player supports VCD format but not CD-R media. Check the DVD player compatibility guides on this site to see the comments for your player. Sometimes different brands of CD-R media will work when others don't, and also sometimes CD-RW works when CD-R doesn't.
Also make sure you are following the steps to author a standard VCD correctly. Don't change any settings to make a non-standard XVCD yet. Double check the How To guides if you are not sure.
