Im using my 1394 connection and have tried using Windv, Pinnacle Studio, the software that comes wth xp, the software that came with my 1394 card. No matter what i try I get the same resluts. The program recognizes the camera. It will allow me to control the camera (play, rewind etc.... but I don't get audio or video preview on the pc. If I choose record the camera begins to play but I get no preview and nothing is captured. When using windv I can't use the program to stop trying to capture I have to turn the camera off.

I've updates all drivers for my video card at the manufactures website (http://www.evga.com/)
I've updated the drivers for my firewire care. I've tried multiple firewires. I've updated direct x. I've tested the firewire with my still camera and it is working fine.

    Any Suggestions???

    Thanks

  2. The first step is to try a second computer and see if you get the same results. If you get the same results then it would most likely be a camera problem. If you don't then it would most likely be a computer problem with the first computer you are using.

Also when the computer is controlling the camera do you have a picture on the monitor or viewfinder of the camera?

I am able to capture using my old pc. It's just old and doesn't do a good job at it. When I'm controling the camera through the pc i don't get a picture or sound on the pc but do get picture and sound on the camera's view screen.

    Thanks
