    which encoder will give me best results>dvpal to mpeg4

    i used FCP but the results were'nt great,i've seen some really nice looking video on youtube and wanted to get closer to that in terms of output quality,

    i have Toast 7/FCP 5.1.2/Compressor 2.1/handbrake 0.7.1/mpeg2works4/mpegstreamclip1.2/QT Pro 7.1.3 also got Flash 8 encoder.

    i need to encode a complex animation made in AE 6.5 for web use and to send via email

    Not on your list: ffmpegX

    Try the iPod H264 settings (either 320x or 640x depending on the size you need).

    It's an oldie, but Openshiiva does a great job for regular Mpeg4.
    Go off and rule the universe from beyond the grave. Or check into a psycho ward, whichever comes first, eh?
