Hey,
So I am using Bob Somers art. to convert to XVID and had no issues before I reformatted my computer and reinstalled W2K.

Now I get some issues when I get to the virtual dub stage. After creating a Frameserver With VFAPI Reader I load up VitualDubMod build 1.5.10.2 and try to load the frameserver file and get errors. VideoSourceAVI error: The source image format is not acceptable (error code - 2) is the error that I get. Just to let you know that every setting is per the guide and worked in the past. Oh ya, I have gotten this error with 5 movie that I have tried.
Anyone have any clue? THANKS!

I used AutoGK and didn't think that I got the best result so I was going to do it with the guide that I posted to compare. (have gotten good results in the past with it) In autoGK I set the file size to 2.1 GB and on a couple of the movies that I have done it has come up with 1.6 or so GB... I also have had issues with AUTOGK doing the wrong audio. For example the last movie that I did gave me the directors cut. I also have had 2 movies where the audio has a weird background hum (had this with Resevoir dogs) I will check out AVI.NET as I don't know anything about that.Originally Posted by celtic_druid

Hmm, I can't seem to get that to work? Any advice? I can't even select a VOB?Originally Posted by jagabo

At the Open Video File dialog use the "File of type" pulldown to select "All types (*.*)". Then select the VOB file.
The version of VirtualDubMod that I'm using, 1.5.10.1, shows VOB files by default. Maybe you have an old version? Or you're using VirtualDub, not VirtualDubMod. -
Cool thanks! I just wanted to let you guys know I got avi.net working and it seems to work awesome, the file size is right where I wanted it and the picture is great on my 1900X1200 laptop screen blown up. Now I just need to take it to my friends HD tv and use the s-video out on the back of my laptop to see how it looks.Originally Posted by celtic_druid
