Hi, I know that .TS file can contain subtitles. But how to add subtitles into existing .TS. What tool to use? Someone said that ProjectX can do this. But how? Could anyone help?

  2. You need a ready multiplexed mpeg file (which may contain subtitles). Start ProjectX, load the file, click on 'prepare >>', select the action 'to TS' and start.

  4. For what purpose do you need the TS file?
And what do you have actually?

TS can contain a lot of material (video streams, audio streams, subtitle streams, teletext, information streams... all in different formats). Not all 'players' (probably no player) nor projectx support all of them.

I watch HD video 1080i. My notebook is quite old (Pentium M 1.4 GHz, ATI Mobility Radeon 7500). For playing I use MPC (Media player classic) and Cyberlink PowerDVD or Intervideo filters/decoders (because they support hardware acceleration). I know I can show subtitles different way (DirectVobSub) but it causes that HW acceleration doesn't work and video doesn't play smoothly. So I think placing subtitles in TS would help.
