    I have tried converting several my wmv files to avi and mpeg but it always stops at 7%. What can I do to make the conversion actually work?

    I've tried using Total Converter, Win2AVI, TMPGEnc, xilisoft video converter, Sony Image Converter and PSP Video 9, etc, but still get the same results.

    FYI, I tried more than wmv file.

    WMV is tough to convert. Try converting with MediaCoder or convertxtodvd

    Super works somewhat, but with low quality in my experience. Try loading it in latest VirtualDubMPG2 and frameserve to your fav mpg encoder.

    Thanks people. I just realized that most of the problems only arises with wmv that I have converted from youtube videos.
