    Just picked up a new LG LDA-531 (canada) with an August '06 build date. I have tried numerous times to get the remote hacks working to allow full use of the component outputs in 1080i mode. No luck, despite trying all the codes and pressing the buttons firmly, slowly etc. I am starting to think they've blocked the hacks in the new players. Anyone else trying out one of these? THX

    Try the sticky at the top of forum or the DVD Hacks section to the left.

    It wouldn't be the first time new firmware versions locked out old codes. Most likely it is because they don't want to support this mode.
