Audio Low.

I have a few videos that I have downloaded that the audio is just very low, sorta like the guy in the post about his music videos, but I was wondering if there was any tool that could just amplify the audio of the file. Not re-encode or extract the audio and replace.. just anything to amplify it to make it louder. I've tried downloading the same video, but by different people and they all are about the same.. I really believe they are the same file just uploaded by different people. Any help here would be much appreciated.

If the audio is MP3 then you could use mp3 gain. You would have to demux the audio first, up the gain, then remux, but no re-encoding is involved. Otherwise you just have turn up your volume.

The other solution did not involve re-encoding (as guns1nger also points out), just demux/remux (extraction and replace as you say). I doubt you'll get around that.

Download FFdshow if you haven't already.It has volume normalization.
