    I have a 1080i HD transport stream file. When I try to play it with WMP/Media Portal/MCE the sound is in Japanese or some other Asian language. Now when I play it with MPC the sound is in English. I also checked if the file has more than one Audio tracks but unfortunately there is only one audio track.

    This is very strange how come with a single audio track the sound in WMP/Media Portal/MCE is in Japanese whereas on MPC is in English.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    how did you check it? what tool? try HDTV2MPEG2.

    Yes with HDTV2MPEG2 as well as within MPC where you select the audio track.
