    Hi,

Can someone tell me what would be the easiet way to convert an mp3 file into a video file?
I'd like to put an audio file on youtube but youtube requires video files only, so I'm looking to convert the mp3 to video. Basically, all I really need is to have a blank video w/ just the audio track. I played around w/ Windows Movie Maker to no avail.

    Thanks in advance!

virtualdub should be able to do it, but then so can Windows Movie Maker. What problem did you have ? All you need is a still - either black or an image - and the audio track. Any editor can bring the two together. Even Photostory can do this.

What I have done is take a regular video with the right format and framerate and in VirtualDub, in 'Filters', use the Brightness/Contrast filter and set brightness to zero. Disable the audio and encode it. I used Xvid. I re-encoded it again, just to make sure there was a clean black file with the brightness set at zero again.

You only need about a 5 minute video. If you need longer, just append it to itself. Make it the same length as your audio by trimming, then add in the audio. This way the format and size are already set to video standards. I saved this black video for future use. I never seemed to have much luck adding in a still black photo.
