    So I had heard that some have had luck using VLC to view DVD's without the need to change the region codes. I have tried this on multiple computers running OSX.4.7 and 4.8, no luck, any info, thanks Wayne.

    You may use the File>Open Disc command in the menu or drop a VIDEO_TS folder onto the VLC icon. Menus and title transitions have minimal support, so some discs may not work 100%.
    An RPC1 drive could be a requirement, as RPC2 drives have region control in hardware.
