So I just bought a new DVD player, its the Toshiba SD-3990 and it works great. Anything I have tried to do on this player works perfectly. But one thing that I did notice is...I recently burned a data disc of a couple movies with subtiles, so i burned the .avi and the .srt, and it works great in fact it even gives you this little option screen as to what sub file you want to use...but anyways the problem that im having is that the subs are kinda small...if i were to burn it like a regular dvd with the VIDEO_TS format the subs come out a fairly decent size where when i burned it this new convienient, data way they come out about have the size...and they're that size for all the films on the disc. Is there any way to adjust the size before burning...squinting to read the subs almost defeats the purpose of the convienience of whole thing.

.srt has no font type or size information, it just contains the text, and when to display it. It's all up to the player (hardware or software) to choose font, size and other attributes. If the player doesn't have a subtitle size setting, there's nothing you can do.
(Real DVD subtitles are a different matter, where the subtitles are actually images overlayed the movie. Here, you can determine font face, size & c when you create those images.)

I did have a spare Rockford Fosgate 12" sub.

Yeah, the size of the subs for text formats depends on the fonts in the player's firmware. You could go xsubs in a divx container. Like DVD subs they are bitmap based so you can pick the font/size.

    ...if your player supports it.

All DivX certified players (according to DXN) support xsubs and the SD-3990-S-TU/TC has HT certification.
