I want to burn a DivX to DVD. Actually a home made movie I created.

So I use DVD2SVCD with Cinema Craft Encoder 2.50 (I also tried 2.70, same thing happened).
    Input: AVI, output: DVD.

My .avi file doesnt seem to be NTSC since it doesnt give me the option to select "NTSC to PAL" in the Conversion tab.

Is there anything else I have to do to get a PAL mpv? I always get Encoded_Video_CCE_NTSC.mpv! I'm so mad!

    Please sb help me!

Since this is a NTSC AVI (see framerate), it will default to NTSC DVD. Shouldn't be a problem tho, since most PAL players/TVs play NTSC DVD without problem. Trying to convert between NTSC and PAL isn't a simple undertaking.

When you say home movie you mean it's from a camcorder? You live in Greece which is a PAL country so how did you convert the tape to NTSC? Or is your camcorder NTSC? Anyway, i'd leave it as it is, just convert to a NTSC DVD and try it on your DVD player.

Thank you very much for your reply!

But since thats a NTSC avi, shouldn't DVD2SVCD give me the option to check "NTSC to PAL"?

Yes the camcorder is bought from the US.
I want it to be compatible with any dvd player. not just mine...
I could do it work ok with The Film Machine and same encoders, but had audio sync problems...

That's exactly what I'm talking about when I urge you to avoid doing any TV system conversion... So many apps claim to do it, so very few (any?) actually do. Possibly convertx2dvd, which seems like the best allinone converter around...

...and hopefully the camcorder can export the video in some less compressed format than DivX? DV AVI is the common camcorder format, and DV AVI -> DVD will give you much better results than DV AVI -> DivX AVI -> DVD.

but i think the quality of ConvertXtoDVD encoder is really poor comparing to Cinema Craft. Is this right?

Well, using a dedicated encoder usually gives you better results than allinone apps, but since your source material is DivX (where all potential quality already is gone anyway) I'm confident the difference is diminutive.
