  1. Hi,

first of all I'd like to thank the contributors of this site for the plethora of information available. It has certainly helped me a great deal.

Secondly I have a problem. I have an .avi source file in 16:9 and presumably NTSC which I've converted to PAL 16:9 using TMPGenc Plus 2.5 and authored and burned to DVD using DVD-lab Pro. The problem is that when I play it on my DVD player part of the top, bottom, left and right of the picture is cut off. This crop is not present in the source file, the .mpg file, or, strangely, when I play it on the DVD player on my computer.

My DVD player is a Denon 1710, and I've set it up to send a 16:9 picture through component cables using progressive scan. My LCD TV is set up to receive a 16:9 signal. Does anyone have a clue what is going on?

I'm not sure if this is a conversion or an authoring problem, but I've put the thread in this forum since the video is fine until the authoring part.

    Cheers,
    Tago
