First thing I would do is change DVD Shrink's settins to use DVD Decrypter to burn, instead of using Nero. You immediately have the benefit of a much better burning engine.

Or don't let Shrink burn automatically, and instead write to a HDD folder. You can then use Imgburn2 to burn the disc.
    Read my blog here.

    TY 8x what ? Are these DL ? + or - ?

The error message is telling you that the discs are not compatable with the burner. This could be as simple as the burner not having a write strategy for the TYs. This burner won't burn -R DLs either.

If your discs are not -R DLs, then I would be looking for a firmware update for the burner. Start with Sony for an official one, or http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php for a not so official one.

  8. It is in English, no mystery reading it.

Specifies Nero Error 1114, also specifies no burn speed specified, though that probably means it is at default speed.

Look up error 1114 at Nero's website, also try reducing burn speed, also get some other disk brands and som RW disks to test with.

FYI I don't think they make 8x dl discs yet. I believe 2.4x is the max for dl discs. I could be mistaken but I think that is the current speed max.

Here's a couple of sites that may help you with Nero errors:

    http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45942

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/105303

You may have to dig around in the forums there a little, but there is a lot of info on Nero errors. Also go to the Nero site for general errors: http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/FAQs_Error_Messages.html

But I would agree if you are having problems with Nero, try ImgBurn instead. This will tell you how to do it automatically with ImgBurn, instead of Nero: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=63869

  14. Try another burning prog, and get some RW to save yourself some dollars while you get the problem resolved.

A "reset" could occur for a lot of different reasons, generally due to some serious error. Since the files are from a DVD rip and you are not authoring, combined with the IO error and incompatible media message, also that bad media are the most common cause of burning errors, you probably got some crap disks.
