I have just bought the Leadtek winfast DTV2000H which is a internal PCI digital and anolog TV card.
I have set it up and have got the digital tv working with perfect sound.
On the virtual remote I can switch between digital and analog broadcasts. When i switch and view analog i get a picture but no sound whatsoever.
(I do need this analog sound to work as i do i have a need for it)
I have read the manual back to front and gone through the configuration settings etc...but i still cant solve this problem.
On this sound card at the top there's a 4 pin male socket. Inside the box of this product there is a a short lead with a female 4 pin socket at each end. This lead only has 3 wires a red, black and white. There is no mention of this lead in the instuctions?
Prior to buying this card i vaguely remember reading a customer review on the DTV2000H and he stated something about sound problem and there was need to conect the lead to the motherboard?
I am guessing this is what i need to do (i cannot believe this is not in the instructions though?)
On my motherboard (having read the instruction on this as well) i have the following:
Built in audio AC'97 codec device ALC650
A socket (not in use) JSP which is a 3 pin male (Right- GND -Left) connector- according to manual its to connect stereo speakers
A socket (not in use) JCD1 which is a 4 pin Male (Right- GND -Left) connector -according to manual it for a CD-ROM
A socket (not in use) JAUX1 which is a 4 pin Male (Right- GND -Left) connector- according to manual it for a DVD add on card with a line connector.
Can somebody guide me as to what i need to do? Do i need to connect to one of these connection with the cable i mentioned?
I think this cable will fit the 4 pin connectors (but not the JSP 3 pin one)
IF so, which way up do i fit/connect this cable, it as it seems it will fit both ways?
In the analog sound configuration of the Leadtek DTV2000H tv card there is a "audio out control line" where you can select various setting, ie pc speakers, front subwoofer, Aux, line in etc... Do i need to alter one of these if i fit this cable?
Thank you in advance for any help. Nothing is ever straight forward is it.![]()

I have a fusion hdtv card. I get perfect digital video and sound without a problem no cables to worry about.
To get analog I have to hook it up to the onboard motherboard sound. THeres a small jack on the capture card that you have to have a audio connector cable to hook it up to the motherboard or to a soundcard. (I have an external usb soundcard so I didn't have an extra input thus I had to put it on my motherboard). I have to switch to the motherboard sound when I'm using an analog input signal.
I don't have to do that if I'm watching analog cable/tv off of an aerial coaxial cable though. But if I'm inputting an analog audio source I have to choose my motherboard sound settings to hear it.
You probably have to do the same thing.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
