I have no idea, how this tool works. The past week I read all manuals, topics and whatever I could find, but all this is confusing me. I don't know how to start.

Thanks to the new GUI of delphi.stuff now I have a xml file, that I can edit with notepad. So far so good.

Someone said:"You can build the SVCD image with the following command: vcdxbuild videocd.xml

That's my problem, every manual assume, that I know, how to work with a command line tool. I don't!
Excuse my ignorance, take my hand and lead me to the light.
    Thank you in advance.

  2. In general, you use:

VCDXGEN to create a simple XML of your files

Use a text editor to edit your XML

VCDXBUILD to create a CUE/BIN image from your XML file and the referenced files in it.

If you don't know how to use the command console, you're in trouble. It is simple to complicated to tell you what to do over a simple post.... however.

When you enter the command console, you will be in the \Windows directory (thus, probably, C:\Windows ).

To change directory, you use the "cd" command.

e.g., if I wanted to go to the \Windows\system folder and I was already in \windows, then I would type:

    cd system

To go a root directory, you use the command:

    cd ..

With this command you should be able to navigate to the folder you've put vcdimager in. I strongly suggest that you put it in a directory off the root directory on C: and use a short directory name!

You should probably try to see if you could find an old beginner's or newbie's book that teaches you how to use MS-DOS...

    Regards.

  3. Open Notepad and type command.com and save it on the directory ur making ur (s)vcd's as command.bat so whenever u dblclick on it, u wont need to type the full path.

then open notepad again and type vcdxbuild videocd.xml>logfile.txt save it again on the same dir...as vcdxbuild.bat

then for vcdxgen, as I use only to make vcd's with one .mpg file I use the following command: vcdxgen -tvcd2 -a movie.mpg>logfile.txt and again save it as vcdxgen.bat

make sure where movie.mpg u input the name of ur .mpg file and change vcd2 to svcd or vcd11, the ur good to go..

    hope tht help's
