  1. I captured my 30 min video from my DV Camcorder through Premiere into a .avi format. Then I convert them to DVD format (iso) with Roxio DVD Builder 7, burned it to disc w/ DVD Decrypter. The picture quality is no good. It's grainy and appears compressed even though conversion is set to "Best".

Would anyone recommend the cleanest form of transferring from DV camcorder to DVD Disc?

Step one, ditch Roxio in favour of a better encoder.

Step two, read the guides (found in the menus to your left) and learn about encoding, bitrates, authoring etc.

Which version of Premiere do you have ? Premiere Pro has the mainconcept encoder built-in. This will produce far superior results to Roxio. Otherwise, consider CCE basic or Procoder Express.

  3. I'm using Premiere Pro 1.5. But the "Export to DVD" command wants to directly burn to disc. Do you know how to produce just the mpeg files?

You need to output through the adobe media encoder to create mpeg output files. I can't be more spcific because I don't use Premiere (Vegas through and through).
