I was going to try to upgrade to this to a newer version. I removed the old version of this but every time I try to install the new one...I get a message that the old one still exists and it won't continue. Says something like "Contact the system administrator"...any ideas on how to "get rid" of whatever is lingering on the old original version of TMPGENC 3.0 Xpress???

I am not familiar with this particular program but I may be able to help. I will assume that you are running a version of Windows like Windows XP. If you are doing an upgrade you should reboot your system after you remove the old program before you try to install the new one. You would want to use the Add Remove Program feature in Windows unless the program itself has an uninstall icon. You can also look in the programs folder directory (C:\Program Files) to see if the folder for that program did not get deleted. If it did not get removed, deleted it. If none of this works you may want to reinstall the old program again and remove it. The last thing that may need to be done is hacking the registry. This should only be done by someone with a ton of computer experience.
