i recently upgrade my wired LAN to a wireless having one of the pc's still wired. now the problem is, i have an adsl router which is obviously set up to automatically obtain ip addresses from the dhcp. Now i have 2 routers, the adsl and the wireless router. So my problem is that i should set the pc handling the internet connection with a certain ip address but if the wireless router is giving out the ip addresses then there's no way that that pc would get the ip address therefore on my network i only have one pc gettin onto the internet. How do i get around this?
A suggestion was made to put the pc with the internet connection on a different hub so that i can manually assign the pc the ip address and connect the router to the hub so that there's still access to the wireless pc's
What do you think?

How's My English?

I have a somewhat similar setup. I just got a gigabit router, but I needed to use my old 10/100 one for it's print server function. All I did was use one of the LAN ports on the gigabit and plugged it into a LAN port on the print server router instead of the WAN. All my computers have fixed addresses and the two routers work fine with each other. I have my laptop hooked to the print server router and it connects to the internet with no problems. Only the gigabit is hooked to the cable modem and it sets all the fixed addresses of the computers.
The nice thing about this is that I didn't need to change any settings on the print server router. That's probably because it's just acting as a switch now, not a router.
I would rather have fixed addresses for my computers, just seems easier to change things around later.
