  1. I have a widescreen video that is 720x336 but I'm unsure as to how to burn the sucker without it being resized and thus losely quality. It'll be played on a widescreen and I don't want to waste horizontal lines on black bars. Suggestions? Thanks in advanced.

If you plan to author it as a dvd then you will have to resize it to dvd spec (see what is 'DVD' on the left <<<) ... if you plan to just burn the file as is (you don't mention the codec) then you can just burn it as a data file however it may or may not play on a standalone dvd player (dependent on the codec and the player)

  3. Read all the guides by DJRumpy. That would be very enlightening.

You could use DivXtoDVD to create a VIDEO_TS folder and then burn the DVD.

I've used this method before and it does what you want. I used DVDShrink and DVDdecrypter to burn. DivXtoDVD converts it to DVD specs but keeps the correct aspect ratio so it plays correctly without the black bars.
