Sometimes when I capture certain video trhough canopus 110 into premiere...the video turns out "wavy" like theres something wrong with the balance...this is what i mean

Is there any way to diffuse this because it does show up on an NTSC monitor..though not quite as severe on a computer but still very noticeable...thanks

That looks like a prime canidate for a TBC, regardless it has to be fixed before it get to the Canopus.

This type of error is precisely why I own a Panasonic ES10 DVD recorder, and use it for pass-through (just pass-through, not recording, Panasonic recording quality sucks). The JVC D-VHS machines (not S-VHS) can also fix this.

Standalone TBCs, and line TBCs found in most TBC'd VCRs, will likely NOT be able to fix this.

Well as I said its a source issue...I viewed the source VHS and i do see those "waves" there too...so is JVC D-VHS or Panasonic ES10 my options? To be honest I dont want to get a DVD recorder just for pass through..and a TBC isnt viable for me right now budget wise

Is this recording a copy of a copy? If so, then significant improvement may not be possible.

I'm only seeing a broken link for your Picture, however, as LS says, the ES-10 is great for fixing flagging, and it's about $180 at Costco. My TBC Full Frame cost me $300, so the Pany is a good deal all around.

Could be RF interference, too. Check your cables & connections, and make sure you don't have some bad RF emitter nearby.

    I doubt it's RF interference.

I doubt it too, but it's certainly something to check for (sorry about the wires, Lordsmurf).

Before going all out, have you just tried a different VCR (with errors like that I assume it is a VHS source)?

It won't completely fix the problem, but eh it is analog, strange things can help, and it might help "enough". And borrowing a VCR is free (if your time is free of course)
