    The DVD Specification does not allow for this type of control, so you have to fake it. How much work it is depends on exactly what type of effect you are after.

    If it is only on activation, then create a short video of the menu frame with the button blinking, say, two times. On the connections window, link the button to this video, then link the end action of this video to the video you want to play. The effect will be Activate link, button blink video runs, then the actual video runs.

    If you have 5 buttons, you need 5 short video clips. 10 Buttons, 10 clips etc. You can use this trick to link between menus and movies, or menus and menus. The technique is the same either way.
