Winavi 7.6 is more stable than previous version, the video and audio to be in of sync as well as the original after the video conversion. Quality and speed seem to be ok but I realized one thing which is the video that converted, consumes more Megabytes than previous version (winavi 7.5).
(E.g A video file with RMVB format 186MB convert to AVI format with "JZMEDIA MPEG-4" encoder.)
The result of the avi video is 426MB which almost cost double. Even the conversion of previous version(winavi 7.5) also consume more MB than original video, but I don think that is the double size of the original one.
Any ideas to reduce MB consuming in order to achieve the best quality of video file especially from RMVB to AVI? Which type of encoder will consume less MB? Can teach me?

Source file size and destination file size has nothing in common.
What matters is how long the source file is (in time).
The most efficient codec (best quality relative bit rate) isn't clear cut either. DivX 6, Nero digital, XviD - they all have pros and cons.
You must also keep in mind what you want the detination file to be playable on. Computer? iPod? DVD player?

XviD or Divx ? thanks
My main purpose which is allow my video play on home VCD/DVD player because play on PC is wasting my time(required to turn on PC and lazy to turn it on)
any more advices? -
Unless you have a DivX capable DVD player, DVD, SVCD or VCD are your options. DVD & SVCD use the mpeg2 codec - VCD mpeg1. I'd say they are about 1/4th as efficient as DivX/XviD
