    I was inspired by the thread asking about trek trivia.

    So whats your most memorable bit of overacting from William Shatner???

    Probably most people would at least know about the "KAAAAHHHNNN" shout from Star Trek 2. That has to be up on the top 10 or 20.

    There are so many its hard to pin it down
    Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

    Hmm... I can't think of a single scene in Star Trek where William Shatner overacted. James T. Kirk is a very dramatic, over the top character and William Shatner played him to perfection.

  8. Pretty much anything he has ever done, but thats what makes Shatner .. well, Shatner. Kind of like Jim Carrey early in his career. His performances were based soley on the fact that he was an over actor. Thats what MADE him Jim Carrey.

    It doesnt work for everyone. I cant see Denzel "over acting." It just wouldnt fit. But, especially in a comedy genre mind you, it really works for some people.

    "Klingon bastard....::tumbles:::...you killed my son!"

    I don't know if that qualifies as over-acting. I thought it was one of his finest moments, in fact.

    Would you believe me if I told you that III was my favorite original cast film?

    That's nothing compared to his rendition of "I Wanna Sex You Up" on the MTV Movie Awards some years ago.

  17. I think he was and is a very good actor..as for overacting..isn't he at the direction of the Director?..Don't they instruct him on what to do and say?..
