downloaded a few xvid clips now, but they all appear jerky when on my standalone

ive used win-avi-video-converter to convert to dvd but its still the same

ive converted to mpeg2 then converted to dvd using svcd2dvd, still the same

i check the files before converting and the usually have 25fps (PAL i believe), which my tv and standalone are so there shouldnt be a prob there

    anyone got any advice?

No big wonder - WinAvi is crap. Try divx2dvd or it's cousin convertx2dvd, or start reading some of the numerous guides on AVI to DVD found under CONVERT left.
