Am using build 2.1.2294 and don't recall this happening before, but recent AVI conversions have been coming out smaller than SVCD2DVD says they're going to.
For example, a ~700MB AVI that looks like it will be 5.36 GB is coming out 3.45 GB. I first thought this was related to using "autofit," and another post suggested packed bitstreams could be the culprit, but after unpacking and trying again twice (with and without autofit) the result is the same. (The conversion is complete either way.)
Suggestions?
(Attached log is from the latest attempt--no NVOP in the asset file, no autofit.)

This won't be of any help, but with some codecs this is the "norm". I have been getting a few undersize results on certain source files regardless of the encoder used and regardless of whether or not I unpack the bitstreams. I have concluded that it is sometimes just the "cost" of doing this type of business.
Chrissyboy - I can provide some samples if there is an interest in pinning down the problem, but as I said, it happens across multiple encoders.Dwight
