well, all i can say is that i'm new at dvd authoring and i just bought my first dvd burner. i've already used nero that came in the package.

my movie files come with subtitles which is in a separate .srt file. i could be using nero, except i do not know how to attach those subtitles. how do i put it together? which program should i use?

another question aside from that, i was wondering how diko works. diko for some reason doesnt work. the coding goes fine, but when it comes to authoring the cd and the final steps of the process (create image and burn), it onlty has 1 mb worth of the files (i.e. menu but not the movies or subtitles). am i using it a wrong way? what should i do about it? id very much like to use diko instead of nero. diko has an authoring program that is very flexible when it comes to making menus

i'd like some help soon! this has really frustrated me ='(. thanks, i'd appreciate any help.

    thanks all =)

You're asking for a lot more than merely authoring - Seems like you start with a non DVD compatible format that has to be converted first.
Depending on the format of your source file, there are some different ways to get them in DVD compliant format, but a good allinone app that (I think) also handles subtitles is convertx2dvd. You can try the free divx2dvd which is the free version of the former.
