I've been using gKnot to rip the .wav out of the vob file prior to encoding
Strange thing is now its suddenly not doing it anymore, even though it is set to do so
another strange thing is that it will still rip the wav out of vob files on my harddrive from before the problem started - but any new vobs i put on the hard drive it ignors the wav.
this makes no sense at all
is there another program that will rip the .wav from the vob file?

Hi-
GKnot doesn't extract anything. Maybe you mean DGIndex. Open the Vob in DGIndex and save the Project File. The audio will be saved automatically. Although you can decode to WAV with DGDindex (Audio->Output Method->Decode AC3 Track To WAV), better would be to use a dedicated audio program, such as BeSweet or HeadAC3he.
