Hi,
I have 2 srt files, which are cd1.srt and cd2.srt, for a single avi movie, so I want to merge those 2 files into 1. I was thinking of copying cd2.srt 's context and paste in the end of cd1.srt, but it doesnt work that way does it! Because the time stamp of cd2.srt also starts at 00:00:00, so I was wondering if there is a warez that helps me add an amount of delay time to every entry in it, you know it takes days to finish the job manually![]()
Thanks for reading!

use the join function in a subtitle tool like subtitle workshop.

First, open your cd1.srt in Subtitle Workshop, then load your .avi.
Do not play the .avi, let it be paused.
Now go to the last subtitle line of cd1.srt and double click it. This would move the slider in the timeline to that last subtitle line of cd1.srt.
Now, load your cd2.srt in the same window. Play the .avi and pause it when the first subtitle line of cd2.srt should appear. Note the time and go to Edit>Timings>Set delay and adjust the time delay for the first subtitle line of cd2.srt, and check the box "For all the subtitles".
Now play the .avi and if you are satisfied with timings of cd2.srt - save it.
Now go to Tools>Join subtitles and add cd1.srt and cd2.srt, join, save and that's it.
Read the Help file for more info. -
Adjustment for CD2 should be the length of CD1, not the time of the last sub. My advice would be to use the join tool, load both subs and the first avi, which is then used to calculate the new times.
