  1. Hi,

Sorry if this has been answered in the past but could someone please explain how to burn CDRWin files (*.cue and *.bin) with Nero. Can I burn them directly and if so how?
    Take care

  2. Easy: DONT
Nero does not currectly burn those type of images, use either:
    CDRWin, FireBurner, BlindWrite, or CDRDao

  3. To burn CUE/BIN images: http://www.geocities.com/medinotes/vcd/burning_cuebin_images.html

Nero has historically had problems. I would personally probably avoid it.

Nero 5.5.6.4 officially supports cue-sheets. Nero also supports 90 min CD burning, which CDRWin doesn't (at least says so on 90 min That's Write CDR box). I just recently burned an SVCD on a 90 min CDR with Nero, and it seems to work on my DVD player (philips 622).

sorry sefy but thats 100% wrong

open nero and cancle the wizzard that pops up. select the file pulldown and go to burn image. in the open dialog box that opens you can change the file type from .nrg to *.* and burn iso files as well as cue/bin files (add the cue file in nero).

    peace out,

  9. Nope, that's not a 100% wrong i'm afraid, Nero still does not currectly burn cue/bin files, and yes, I know it can detect and burn them, but the resulting CD does not always play, or plays correctly, especialy if you used Chapters.

  11. and those nice percentages are why I say don't burn with Nero, after all, you do want the movie to play
Don't get me wrong, I use Nero for everything else, just not for bin/cue files

  12. dumwaldo,

I don't know about the latest version of Nero, but it did definitely used to have a problem with CUE/BIN images (follow the link I posted before) -- which was why I used the term "historically". Indeed, I believe hvr actually got into correspondence with Ahead about the very issue!!

The problem was that it incorrectly burnt the CUE/BIN image with an offset of 150 sectors. Since S/VCDs PBC works by directly using sector addresses, this is a very serious bug. Indeed, it was when I first made the Demo VCD available from the VCDImager site, this problem first came to head. The Nero burnt discs simply didn't work in terms of PBC.

Nero may have fixed this bug in the newer versions but you know what they say... once bitten, twice shy.

    Regards.
