    I know this is a stupid question, but I didn't find it in the how to guides or the forum. I have a bunch of VCD's and DVD's I want to upload to my computer, but I don't know how to do it or what program is needed. I know this is a basic thing for most, but I've never done it before and appreciate any help.

    VCDs
    VCDgear or vcdgeargui and convert the .dat from the VCD to a mpg. You could also just copy the .dat but you might get playback problems. Then play the mpg with any video player.

    DVDs
    DVD Decrypter and rip the entire dvd to your hd....click on dvd decrypter for guides. Then play the DVD VIDEO_TS folder with software dvd players like mpc,videolan,powerdvd,windvd.

    If so:
    VCD - VCDGear
    DVD - DVDDecrypter or DVDFab Decrypter
