You said your image is OK because you retried one that i had already backed up last week successfully.
That other image may have been OK but not this one. Have you tried playing the Image directly from you PC?
You would need a virtual DVD drive susch as Daymon tools or Alcohol 120% installs. Mount that image and see whether it loads. Virtual drives will mount a image and fool the computer into thinking you are actually loading from the "real" disc, CD or DVD. If it loads and plays then there is nothing wrong with your image. If it does not, then the fault lies with the image you produced.
W 15:07:46 Failed to Write Sectors 768 - 799 - Power Calibration Area Error Usually means that the drive fails at the initial calibration. In other words it is checking laser and write settings. Something like that. I am not really sure of the technical specifics but if it fails that step it will simply not continue. No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD! -
understand what your saying mate but the image i retried was on my hard drive from last week when it was ok, i have just tested the image with alchohol 120 and plays ok

power calibration error is usually either bad media or the laser is dirty or no longer working properly. media can't be burned/then read.
