I recently purchased a DVD set of the Noble House mini-series, and the quality is fair to decent. The problem is that there is not a great deal of crispness in the video, and there are places that the video has some blurring of the image, or maybe another way of stating it would be to say it looks grainy. Does anyone know if DVD Rebuilder may be a way to possibly correct some of this?

    Thanks for any ideas,

    take care,

  2. Sure, use the Filter Editor. DVDRB -> Options -> AVS Options -> Advanced (Expert) Options -> Filter Editor. Add a line or two to the script. For example:

    FFT3DFilter(sigma=3,sharpen=0.3)
    #Light sharpen and denoise

Or some combination of other filters here:

Also, third party filters, there are lots of them:

If the filter you want is not "built-in", download it and put it in the Avisynth plugins directory. Be aware that anything you put in the filter editor STAYS there unless or until you clear it out.

Others here will probably have suggestions for you as well. Good luck.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!
