What's the best way to convert video for a Pocket PC?

Erm... I've found loads of links and guides for creativng video for 'mobile' devices.
The problem is that just about every converted (by someone else) video I've seen is of VERY poor unwatchable quality!

    I have a 400mhz pocket PC with a 2GB SD card.
I'm not worried about file size.
I can play normal xvid videos on it (normal being 700MB).
The only thing is... I think it struggles to cope on fast scenes.

I thought this might be solved by making the video be exactly correct for the pocket PC screen size.
AND keeping all other quality settings.

    Is this a good idea?

    Thanks.

Ive been experementing myself, as I like the quality to be good. So far ive found that Windows media encoder, to be the best. but ive just downloaded cloandvdmobile, you get a 21 day trial, but it outputs in divx, so I put TCPMP onto my smartphone, again with some good results. but the audio isnt cd quality which i would prefer if i was using headphones. so back to the drawing board.

theres a setting in tcpmp that lets you drop frames to keep up with the audio. This should help with fast scenes, mines is only a 200mhz and it plays well with that enabled.
