Is there a program out there that will convert a pal dvd to ntsc automaticly and with good results?

No, not really.

The DGPulldown method is probably the easiest, but not always compatible with all players. PAL>NTSC conversion can be a fairly complex operation to get good results. Especially if you want to keep everything on the DVD, including menus, etc. -
There are some region free dvd players that can play pal in the ntsc region.
Another option is to get a hacked xbox and play it back and capture it onto a dvd recorder or your capture card. A few downsides though - no 5.1, no menus, and its a realtime dub. But you don't have to do hours of converting, its just the lenght of the video. Then you can author your own menus.Donatello - The Shredder?
