hey,
not sure if right forum but...
I want to make a photo Montague of photos scanned in. Can anyone recommend a program that all i have to do is import the pictures and they will be lay-ed out and transitions applied?
Also what would be the best way to scan the pictures? can anyone recommend a high quality scanner?
Thanks for the help.

ProShow - but it's not free.
It will do pretty much what you want: Select the directory the photos and music are in.
drag the photos into the show - then you can let the program select the transitions and motion effects - take the finished project and burn it to disc (DVD or VCD). I've been trying it for awhile, and the learning curve is pretty easy. I can't speak for other software, but I'm certain others can do the same - maybe even freeware. -
