I have tried to convert an AVI (640x336, 24fps, Layer3 audio) to mpg to burn it onto a VCD. When I play the VCD in my computer it works just fine, but when I try to play it in a stand alone player it is very jerky.
I have tried to convert it to both NTSC Film, NTSC and PAL but none of them works as it should. What else can there be that causes this?

I tried once more and this time the only thing I could see on the TV was red and green lines.
Please help me if you think you know what the problem might be.
