Well right now I have a bunch of xvid videos on my hd, and so far I've converted a SINGLE xvid to dvd compatible using AVI2DVD, however that was 1 file. Now I'm a little confused on how to do a type of 'batch' conversion, basically converting many xvid's to a SINGLE dvd.
Point me in the right direction here folks![]()

ConvertXToDVD can do that fairly easily. Or the freeware DivxToDVD. I'm not sure what you mean by 'batch conversion' in this case? Several parts of the same file or a episodic conversion of a TV series?
Or just convert them all to MPEG with a program like TMPGEnc encoder and use a authoring program to put them all together for the DVD. -
Here is one conversion guide. I thought there was one on 'episodic' conversions, but it's probably not for RMVB to DVD: https://www.videohelp.com/sefy/
You may have to do this in more than one step for episodic videos. A batch encode would be nice. But you would need an encoder that would be able do this.
If you encode RMVB directly to MPEG-2, that would be the best. The RMVB is likely not that great of quality to start with. The more encodes you go through, the more loss in quality that will result.
You can use a bitrate calculator to see what the MPEG-2 bitrate would need to be to fit the requisite number of video files on a DVD. Then you would have to set your MPEG encoder to that bitrate.
I'm not sure about AVI2DVD, haven't used it.
