Restore Points on Home XP service Pack 1

why does my pc not show any restore points prior to July on this year..they were there in June..just wondering

There could be a couple of reasons. Some programs, when installed, seem to wipe out old restore points. Or you may have a small amount to hard drive space allocated for the restore files and they were overwritten with the newer restore files. If you go to 'Control Panel>System>System Restore>Settings' you will see how much room is allocated for restore files.

I've seen a spyware infection that knocked out all restore points before. Just one more possiblity.

What would happen to my restore point situation..if I set back the pc clock to last month..would the restore points be there from June?

If it's been overwritten, I doubt that would do anything except reset your clock and confuse some of your software for updates. But you can try it.
